Bountagu Big Local is a resident-driven project with the ambition to support and improve our community, and “leave a legacy of beauty, hope and aspiration for the future”.
Decisions and activities are led by our Partnership Board and subgroup teams, which are formed of local volunteers passionate about making a positive and lasting difference to our area.
Our efforts are focused across four main priorities comprising; Older People & Community, Children & Young People, Developing Local Opportunities, and Environment & Outdoor Space, as well as on the legacy our project leaves behind.
We meet regularly to plan and organise our projects, working hard (but remotely) during lockdown to provide support where we can, and are looking forward to restarting the activities and plans that had to pause.
We have a growing social media presence as well as producing posters, flyers, and a 20 page quarterly newsletter/magazine which is distributed through 2,100 letterboxes in our area, updating our neighbours on our own progress as well as promoting other local groups and projects.
Bountagu exists to help this neighbourhood and the people in it, and the best way to make that happen is to have YOUR help in everything we do!
We need project leaders, and organisers as well as do-ers and supporters.
Maybe you have the passion, energy and interest to join a subgroup project team or our Partnership Board?
